Large Scale Division Manager

Dave began his community management career managing large scale communities in Florida where he was among the first community managers in the state to take and pass the Community Association Managers Licensing exam. He not only holds an active Florida Community Association Managers License but has also earned the highest CAI designation of PCAM. Dave is currently a National Faculty Member of CAI. In 1981 Dave earned his degree in Public Administration from BCC in Pompano Beach, Florida and attended Lynn University, in Boca Raton, Florida.
He was Vice President of Customer Services for a large nationally known builder/developer and was responsible for community management in several communities in Florida, New York, Virginia and Illinois. In 1988 he moved to a large-scale community of 5,037 homes in Coconut Creek, Florida where he organized the transition from the developer and represented the community’s first elected Board of Directors for over 10 years. Since then, Dave has served as IPM’s Large Scale Division Manager responsible for large-scale communities in Florida and the Carolinas.
His experience includes consulting for Boards of Directors and developers for large-scale destination communities. He has also been responsible for day-to-day management of planned urban developments in the 1,800 to 5,000-homes range with a mix of single family and condominium homes and master associations. His community management experience includes a full range of amenities management such as country clubs, golf courses, theaters for the performing arts, athletic clubs, tennis courts, marinas, aquatic centers and other active lifestyle amenities.
Dave has also been active with local government acting as liaison from private community management to local government, and has participated on public urban planning committees.
